ABOUT EACH STYLE OF DANCE CLASSES

Ballroom & Latin American Salsa  Weddings Freestyle / Disco Ballet / Tap / Modern / Jazz School Holidays Workshops

ADULTS

There are seven classes throughout the week of Ballroom and Latin American dance, from an Absolute Beginners class through Improvers classes to the Advanced class. (see classes)

From a beginners class through to advanced class, all dances are built up on what has been previously taught in an earlier class to enable you to add more steps to each dance and become a more confident and capable dancer.

In addition a 12 week course of Salsa is run at regular intervals (see classes))

The Absolute Beginners classes usually start in January, April and September of each year. (see classes)

For Ballroom classes, the Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Jive are taught and for Latin American, the Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Tango and Samba.

All classes are taught by Sandy with assistance from Annie. (See Teachers)

Private lessons in all the above can be arranged by appointment.

Wedding dances  can be arranged on a private lesson basis to assist couples requiring that special first dance for their wedding. This can be especially choreographed to a special song if required.

Freestyle/Disco lessons are held on Wednesdays.

UNDER 16'S

All Freestyle/Disco, Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz classes are taught by Amanda (see teachers)

Although no Ballroom and Latin American Classes are run for the under 16's, Private lessons can be arranged.

Additionally throughout the school holidays, Amanda runs Theatre Workshops incorporating diferent styles of dance,performance, drama and singing.

MEDAL TESTS

Medal tests are  held twice a year under the auspices of a UKA examiner. Anyone who wishes to have some recognition of their progress and is thought to be of a proficient level by their teacher in the chosen style of dance  can enter.
