Sandy Temple Fellow UKA
Sandy is the Principal of Tempo Dancing and is professionally qualified in Ballroom & Latin American dance with both the UKA and the ISTD.
Originally classically trained, Sandy has been dancing since the age of four. As a young adult Sandy took an interest in Ballroom & Latin American dance, passing examinations and enjoying competition success.
Prior to moving to Portsmouth, Sandy taught in Brighton and Worthing. At Tempo she is supported by a team of teachers covering all aspects of Ballroom & Latin American dance.

Kirsty Newman Associate UKA
Kirsty is a professionally qualified teacher in Ballroom & Latin American dance who joined Tempo Dancing in 2013. She began dancing at the age of 4 and by the age of 17 had completed all her amateur qualifications. Between the ages of 12 – 17 she also competed successfully at National events and worked as a teacher’s assistant.
After completing a BA at Royal Holloway University, she returned to teaching dancing on a full-time basis whilst studying to complete her professional qualifications with the UKA.
