Gemma Siamantas MA PGCE LISTD

As a professional dancer I have performed in a range of venues across the world from Pantomimes to Hotels in Madeira and finally on cruise ships around the world. My experiences in performing have enabled me to travel whilst performing in a job I love. The experience has helped me become the teacher I am today.
Following my degree and MA in Dance in 2003, I decided to open the doors to the Classique School of Dance. Teaching was always a dream for me and starting up my own school with the support of my husband and family offered me the opportunity to start my full time teaching career. Whilst opening my own school and teaching at various Further Education Colleges across the south I gained my PGCE teachers qualification to support the renewed C.D.E certificate in teaching with the Imperial Society of Dancing (I.S.T.D). Whilst teaching I have continually renewed and refined my teaching skills and techniques to ensure I am fully up to date with the teaching requirements. Gaining my Licentiate and becoming an approved Tutor for the ISTD has been a highlight in my teaching career.

"I am so lucky to work with so many lovely people and am really fortunate to be able to help them take their first steps into dance. I get to help a couple wow their guests on their wedding day...what job could beat that?"
